Where Plant-Based Eating Meets Bodyweight Training
If you haven't already, please sign up to our mailing list, which is designed to supplement this course by notifying you of important updates, news, opinions, notices as well as anything and everything that will aid you in getting the most value out of this health & wellness journey you have decided to embarked upon.
Getting active doesn't only mean exercising (although, this is a crucial aspect), but rather a call to take care of your health and body overall. Getting active can be as simple as getting off the couch, transforming from a potato into a person and going for a 15-minute walk... all the way to doing the hard work of overcoming and defeating those addictions which are actively destroying our mental, emotional and physical wellbeing.

About This Course And Your Instructor
Hi, my name is Bradley Dorfan, and I will be your course instructor and resource centre administrator; holding your hand every step of the way. The best way to communicate with me regarding this course is to join the TPS Community Service Facebook Group and get involved with the tags #CompoundMovement or #OperationReset, ask a question, or provide insights, motivation and accountability. Alternatively, you can email me at [email protected].
The main aim of this course is to take the lessons I’ve learnt over the years in fitness as well as personal development and condense it into a program that is easy to follow for beginners, non-overwhelming and just as effective for veterans or those who are looking to lose weight again after a period of neglect.
On original conception, I fell unhappily into the third category.
Having held onto the wagon for the longest time, I fell off around September 2019. Arriving home from Mauritius (an alcohol-infused feast-fest of epic proportions), I was distraught to find that my October 2018 figure of 66kg and 7% Body Fat Percentage (BFP) had bloated to a whopping 70kg and 10% BFP.
I decided there and then that I would dedicate the next 4 months to not focussing on what I ate or drank in an effort to:
1. Discover how negative eating, drinking and sedentary habits would affect an otherwise healthy person;
2. find out how quickly (and easily) I could get back into healthy habits; and
3. Hopefully assist people in similar situations do the same.
I didn’t go overboard… because I didn’t have to. I easily slipped back into the eating habits of the obese child I once was, with the added benefit of my new addiction: alcohol.
A Mindset Shift
A non-decision is also a decision, usually falling on the negative side of the scale, moving you backwards, rather than forwards.
Now it is possible (as I will attempt to show in this program) to turn a non-decision into a positive, progression-focussed tool. This is done by creating healthy habits that require very little thought-processing in order to achieve.
We remove the negative habits and replace them with the positive ones, eliminating the pain and discomfort associated with having to choose light over darkness every time we open the fridge.
We make our lives easier by reducing the number of decisions we have to make on a daily basis. This is known as decision fatigue and can take down even the best of us.
This transition will take some time and a lot of getting used to, but it does get better and, once ingrained in your life, a significant source of unhappiness will stem from not living a life in accordance with this new philosophy.
This is what happened to me. I did so well for so long, I thought a little indulgence here and there wouldn’t hurt.
And soon enough I was eating more and more (quantity increasing as much as the quality of what I was consuming decreased) and exercising and prepacking food less and less.
I wasn’t consciously going out of my way to get fat. I was merely proving the power of an unconsciously lived life.
Within 4 months I was able to break in the scale at 75kg and 14% BFP.
This is a very uncomfortable place for me to be as someone who went from 105kg and 28% BFP in 2012 to 75Kg and 18% BFP in 2015 then slowly gaining muscle and losing fat to a point in October of 2018 sitting at my lowest of 66kg and 7% BFP.
It took me one year to get to a similar level from where it took me three years to get down from.
Upsetting, but definitely not unforeseen.
Trial & Error
And so, the experiment had begun.
I had done it before, and I would do it again.
It is out of this pain and misery - that I know both myself as well as many others have experienced - that The Compound Movement and Operation Reset were born.
My goal is to help as many people as I can take this road with me and shape the body and life of their dreams:
This is not just an exercise and fat-loss program; this is a mental-physical paradigm shift, requiring both psychological and physiological stamina
Through this program you will:
- Realise that it is possible to lose weight, lose fat, gain muscle and live a healthy life;
- Realise that weight and fat loss is a gradual process that requires growth, mental toughness, consistency and an unwavering desire to succeed;
- Realise that this journey, along with any other journey of import, takes time and there are no quick fixes;
- Realise that this journey will not be an easy one but come to appreciate that it is only those journeys that require we overcome adversity that are the most meaningful;
- Learn the true meaning of deprivation as opposed to the society-perpetuated definition of deprivation we currently live by;
- Take responsibility for your life rather than allow the opinions of others dictate what is best for you;
- Develop newfound energy, vibrancy, happiness and joy you haven’t thought possible since you were a little kid;
- Find it easier to accomplish other tasks in your life;
- Be able to apply the principles within to almost every other aspect of your life; and
- Know, with absolute certainty, if you ever were to waiver, that there is nothing to prevent you from doing it again...
And, So, It Happened Again 😧 #FML
In the interest of transparency, you deserve to know that I faltered yet again in 2021.
This tragic tale should serve as inspiration, help you appreciate how easy it is to drop the ball when your head's not in the game, as well as understand that it is through these experiences that I will be able to help you overcome the inevitable obstacles that could hurt you, long before you even encounter them.
By the end of 2020, I was back down to 66kg, but I had lost interest as I was dealing with other priorities at the time.
My plan was to live vegan and go fully plant-based in 2021.
I was so afraid of losing out on what I thought would be a highly-restrictive eating plan - and also keen on proving to those around me that being vegan isn't a sacrifice - that I dropped any notion of watching what I ate (except for avoiding animal products like the plague).
I was so intent on discovering what a vegan could eat - after having eliminated a 'vital food source' that I was convinced must surely account for more than 80% of one's daily calorie intake - that I went full-throttle-junk-food-vegan.
I was eating more variety in 2021 than I had over the previous 8 or so years... perhaps even more than I ever had. A lot of it healthy, but also a lot more carbs & fats, and bigger portions, too.
Towards the end of 2021, I had fallen out of a consistent training program and found myself crushing the scales again at 75kg and 15% BFP...
I was back in front of the mirror, shaking my head in disappointment at what I had allowed myself to become. Yet, I was also proud and excited - that I had both proven a vegan diet is more abundant and fulfilling than a traditional non-vegan one, and that I now knew exactly what to do to lose fat on a plant-based eating plan.
So, without further ado, let's get it! 💪
